Playing with Words
ABOUT
An avid reader and spinner of stories as a child, not to mention menacing grown-ups at family gatherings with my cry of ‘let’s do a play!’, I’ve had a lifelong love affair with words, written and spoken. It’s what you can do with them that fascinates me, words create worlds. Whether you’re writing them or performing them, I can help you make your words count.

Creative Writing Tutor
I run classes and workshops for people who love to write, for whatever reason. I have a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Creative Writing from the University of Cambridge. I'm a member of the National Association of Writers in Education and Lapidus. I believe that creative writing can be inspiring, therapeutic and, above all, fun. It’s good for your well-being and yes, anybody can do it. Click below to find out about upcoming workshops and classes.
LAMDA exam coach
LAMDA exams and the LAMDA syllabus can help you become a confident communicator and performer whatever your age or level of experience. I trained as a professional actor at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Nowadays I direct shows for local community theatre groups and I'm an associate artist with Cambridge Theatre Company.
Writer
I have a Master's Degree in Creative Writing from the University of Cambridge and write regularly for local glossy magazine, Velvet - both editorial and advertising copy - and for Indie Cambridge. I’m a member of the Society of Authors and my main creative project at the moment is making a solo show about my father who died when I was too young to remember him. Working on this solo performance piece brings him alive for me.
